Salesforce.com’s Geoff Dodge Joins DataXu as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Underpins All-Star Management Team Leading the Enterprise Digital Data Revolution

BOSTON, MA  – DataXu (www.dataxu.com), provider of the industry’s leading digital marketing management (DMM) platform, today announced that it has hired Geoff Dodge as Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing. In his new role, Dodge will oversee DataXu’s global sales and marketing strategies and go-to-market plans for the DX3 enterprise platform, as well as vertical and industry solutions.

DataXu’s platform enables brands to aggregate and automatically act on consumer behavioral data to power faster and smarter decisions that impact sales. In just the past two years, DataXu has built the #1 ranked DSP current offering, according to the December 2011 report: “The Forrester Wave™: Demand-Side Platforms Q4 2011.”

Dodge’s move to DataXu supports and fuels the company’s promising growth trajectory. Already, the company has the largest worldwide footprint, delivering global efficiency and local expertise to companies across 60 countries. Global digital ad spend is projected to grow from $65 billion to $200 billion in the next five years, and DataXu’s addressable market is predicted to increase from $5 billion today to $25 billion over the same period. Dodge will spearhead the next wave of DataXu’s expansion.

Dodge joins DataXu from enterprise CRM software powerhouse Salesforce.com, where he was Senior Vice President of Sales, instrumental in growing software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions to the largest media and communications companies in the United States. Previously, Dodge served in a number of leadership roles in the media industry, including Senior Vice President and Publisher of BusinessWeek. During his time tenure, BtoB Magazine named BusinessWeek the Most Innovative Consumer Magazine Publisher.

“Salesforce.com is a meteoric success that shaped a market around CRM software as a service, much like DataXu is accomplishing with digital marketing management,” said Mike Baker, CEO and co-founder of DataXu. “Geoff Dodge is one of the few executives who have built a successful track record spanning the media and software industries.  As our customers look to transform their digital marketing efforts by crossing that same chasm, Geoff will be a valuable resource to DataXu and indeed to the C-Suite across our industry.”

Adds Dodge, “Not only are enterprises and agencies recognizing the power of data and analytics in driving sales and meaningful long-term relationships, but DataXu has raised the bar for all enterprise software providers by enabling real-time decision-making from data and analytical insights to increase sales and competitive advantage,” says Dodge. “I am looking forward to contributing to the legacy of DataXu as we build a global company.”
