Operative Appoints Thomas L. Bianco as Chief Revenue Officer

Financial Industry Veteran to Lead Revenue Growth for Global Software Company

New York, NY – Operative, a global software company, today announced that Thomas L. Bianco has joined the company as chief revenue officer, heading the company’s growth and business development. Bianco will leverage his experience at top financial service companies to manage Operative’s customer business, leading top-line revenue growth and retention.

“We are privileged to have Tom join the executive team here at Operative,” said Mike Leo, Operative’s president and chief executive officer. “With over 25 years of experience managing sales growth, Tom brings a unique vision and discipline to his role at Operative – a driving force that will help grow our revenue engine to new levels and scale Operative’s revenue team as we continue to expand both nationally and internationally.”

As CRO, Bianco is responsible for managing and growing the company’s direct sales and account management teams. In addition, he will monitor the pipeline of each revenue stream and implement marketing initiatives that support the revenue acceleration plan. With his extensive experience and success in the financial sector, he found that the ad tech ecosystem has evolved in a similar way.

“For me, Operative was an exciting change and a natural move in many ways – tactics such as direct and indirect sales, as well as high-touch and low-touch business models, are concepts I’ve been working with for years,” said Bianco. “Both Operative, as well as the ad tech industry as a whole, possess tremendous growth opportunities. It’s an honor to be part of such a smart, experienced team and I look forward to contributing to the sales growth and overall vision of the company.”

Prior to joining Operative, Bianco was managing director of Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he acted as COO of AMRS Equity Sales and head of client management, executing a cross-selling strategy and focusing the company on its on highest return accounts. He has worked on both the buy- and sell-side of the industry, running sales, marketing, trading, capital markets and research departments at firms including Merrill Lynch, Bear Stearns, Lehman, PaineWebber and Alliance Bernstein. Bianco holds a BS in Economics from Georgetown University and an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
