Rubicon Project Makes Key Promotions In International Team

Morwenna Beales moves to new role as VP Strategic Accounts

Craig Mytton becomes VP Buyer Cloud

LONDON – – Rubicon Project (NYSE: RUBI), which operates one of the industry’s largest independent real-time trading platforms for the buying and selling of advertising, is strengthening its International leadership team with the promotion of key members of the team to support the growth of automated advertising in the international business.

After five years at Rubicon Project, Luke Fenney is promoted to VP Seller Cloud, with responsibility for product planning, go-to-market strategy, market alignment and seller team training.

Morwenna Beales, who joined Rubicon Project in 2010, moves from a role as Head of Account Management to VP of Strategic Accounts working with global exchange customers such as Viacom, eBay, News Corp and MailOnline on coordinated initiatives.  Moving from a role as Head of Mobile, Nina Harvey becomes Director, Seller Cloud for the UK and Ireland managing a large team delivering insight and data analytics and strategies to improve yield management for premium publishers and mobile application developers in the UK.

Craig Mytton is promoted to VP Buyer Cloud with overall responsibility for improving efficiencies and effectiveness for all of Rubicon Project’s international buying partners including media planning and buying agencies, online advertising networks, mobile media agencies and Demand Side Platforms (DSPs).

Oliver Whitten, SVP Europe, Rubicon Project, who comments, “Over the past 18 months we’ve created and empowered strong leaders for each of the key regions for the international business, the most recent of which is James Brown as Managing Director, UK.  Nina will report into him, developing the team and leveraging her mobile and video expertise to help drive increased revenue for sellers in the UK.”

Whitten continues, “Alongside these regional heads, we are creating functional Vice Presidents, which will coordinate across all six regions.  These promotions of Luke, Morwenna, Nina and Craig recognise their skills and their commitment to our overall international growth.   Each will work with their US counterparts to align global operations, especially with regard to product development, planning and resourcing, training and best practices, and ensure we continue to deliver the best products and service to our international customers.”

Nina Harvey joined Rubicon Project’s Account Management team in 2010 following three years at AOL where she counselled publishers on their video, mobile and display advertising revenues.  She has held several roles at Rubicon Project including Sales Director for the EMEA and Latin America regions, before working with sellers and apps to develop their mobile and native advertising revenue.

Two recent recruits the Seller Cloud team will report into Nina Harvey: Rebecca Ackers join as Account Director from Neo@Ogilvy, where she worked for more than two years developing programmatic campaigns and private marketplaces for clients including American Express, British Airways and IBM.  Prior to that she spent a year at Google and a year at Global Digital Markets as DSP Account Manager.  Account Director Anne-Clare Chenu joins from Xaxis and brings experience of working at 24/7 Real Media and the MIG, Criteo and Vibrant Media.

Over the past year, Luke Fenney has lead Rubicon Project’s International Insight Analytics team and prior to that he spent 18 months as Head of RTB Demand, International working with leading agency groups in the UK to optimise their programmatic investment with Rubicon Projects Advertising Automation Cloud.  He joined Rubicon Project in 2009 from MySpace where he spent a year working as a performance sales campaign manager, and was a digital campaign manager at RealEstate.com.au, part of the REA Group, for two years before that.  Anissa Connor, former Head of Yield Management, International returns from maternity leave this month to be Product Manager, Revenue Optimisation.

Morwenna Beales joined Rubicon Project International Account Management team in 2010 from a role as Head of Client Services at Media Initiative Group, where she managed numerous accounts for eType.  She began working with leading online sellers in 2007 as Publisher Relations Manager for Accelerator Media.

Mytton has thirteen years of industry experience to the role including six years working in media agencies, with stints at MediaCom, Essence and Cheeze, now Jaywing, and six years working for a range of publishers including Haymarket, Teletext and Miva formerly eSpotting.   He spent a year at AppNexus, leading their European relationships with all external DSPs, retargeters and Supply Side Platforms.  Over the past year he has grown Buyer Cloud operations in the UK and Ireland developing dedicated account lead for each major agency group.

In addition, Alice Swan moves to become Account Director, Buyer Cloud working with Dentsu Aegis and VivaKi and is joined by Eva Battin, who brings experience from TubeMogul, AppNexus, Yahoo! Sizmek and Microsoft Advertising, to cover WPP agencies and OMD.
