Index Exchange Hires Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel: New Roles Signify Continued Growth for Company

Index Exchange, the world’s largest independent ad exchange, today announced it has hired Neil Dorken as Chief Financial Officer and Jason Cicchetti as General Counsel. The news follows a period of rapid growth for the company, including new offices and hires across North America, Europe and APAC. Dorken and Cicchetti will report to Index Exchange President and CEO, Andrew Casale.

“It’s an exciting time for the ad tech industry, as more companies recognise the need for transparency to drive greater efficiency throughout the ecosystem,” said Casale. “Both Neil and Jason are established professionals in their respective fields, and I’m confident their expertise will be a huge benefit to our partners as we continue to scale and work with publishers and buyers across the globe to fulfill this mission.

Dorken, a registered CPA, joins Index Exchange from Air Methods — the world’s largest air medical transportation company, with USD 1.2 billion (GBP 9.12 million) in annual revenue and 5000 employees. As Senior Vice President, Finance and Transformation, he successfully helped take the company private in 2017, established a Business Transformation team and led the creation of new reporting, KPIs and forecasting to drive improved financial performance. Previously, he was VP of Finance at CHC, the offshore oil and gas helicopter transportation provider with operations in over 30 countries, and was part of the assurance practice at KPMG in Vancouver.

“Despite rapid consolidation in the industry, Index Exchange has remained independent and profitable without any outside investment,” said Dorken. “I’m excited to join a team that has built a business aimed at sustaining the publishing business from the ground-up, and I look forward to helping Index Exchange find further efficiencies to continue to drive growth.”

In addition, Jason Cicchetti joins the company as General Counsel. He’s served as Index Exchange’s external counsel for the past several years, and will bring his industry experience, international network and learnings from private practice to help Index continue growing in a sustainable manner within ad tech’s dynamic regulatory environment.

“I’m fully aligned with the strategic direction and vision of the Index Exchange leadership team, including the core principles and values of the business,” said Cicchetti. “Moving in-house to service Index’s partners represents a seamless transition for me as I look to deepen my relationships and knowledge of a field for which I’ve long been passionate.”

Both Dorken and Cicchetti will be based out of Index Exchange’s Toronto office.
