BrightRoll Appoints Beth Steinberg as Vice President of People

Former Facebook executive to drive company growth and innovation in programmatic video; introduces new initiatives to empower women through technology and leadership

SAN FRANCISCO – BrightRoll, the only independent and unified programmatic video advertising platform, today announced the expansion of its executive team with the appointment of Beth Steinberg as vice president of people. Steinberg specializes in implementing programs that foster employee growth and professional development. In this new role, she leads talent acquisition, with a specific focus on training emerging leaders, managers and executives to scale the company.

BrightRoll is investing in talent to meet growing demand for the company’s award-winning technology platform, which includes the BrightRoll console. Over the last two years, the company has doubled its workforce and Steinberg will play an essential role in organizational development and employee engagement, while expanding the team to drive the company forward.

Steinberg brings nearly 20 years of human resource experience to BrightRoll, having held leadership positions at both emerging and Fortune 500 companies. She is responsible for acquiring top talent to meet the demands of rapidly growing technology companies, including Facebook, where she served as the company’s first vice president of human resources. Prior to joining BrightRoll, Steinberg was vice president of talent and organizational development at Sunrun. She has held leadership roles at Electronic Arts, Nike and Nordstrom, is an advisor to Puppet Labs and Jhana Education, and on the board of directors of Social Venture Partners International.

In addition to her professional ties to the technology community, Steinberg is a strong advocate for philanthropy and empowering women through technology. She is highly involved in non-profits in the Silicon Valley, including Full Circle Fund, SV2 and Hidden Villa. Steinberg is also an active participant of TechWomen.org, a mentorship and exchange program that brings together emerging women leaders in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) from Africa and the Middle East with their professional counterparts in the United States.

BrightRoll will hold the first annual BrightWomen Week, a week-long celebration of women in technology, from Monday, April 28 through Friday, May 2. The company will host a series of internal and external events at company headquarters in San Francisco. An external event featuring a panel of TechWomen mentors will be open to the public on Tuesday, April 29. Also during BrightWomen week, BrightRoll will host its monthly Data Driven Women networking series, an external event that sets out to build a stronger female technology community. “Data Driven Women 0.8: Recruiting for Diversity in Tech” will take place on Wednesday, April 30 and feature Laine Campbell, CEO and co-founder of Blackbird.
