Y&R China adds to Epica, China 4A’s & Cannes Lions haul, capping most-awarded year ever
NEW YORK – David Sable, Global CEO of Y&R and Tony Granger, Global Chief Creative Officer of Y&R announced today that Y&R China has capped a stellar year of both creative and effectiveness awards success, having been named China’s Leading Influential Ad Agency by the China’s Brand Owners Association and voted a Greater China Top 10 Effie Agency, and rocketing up 21st Century Marketing’s agency rankings having been China’s most-awarded agency at Cannes 2013.
Y&R China’s best-ever Cannes haul, 4 Lions and a staggering 22 Shortlists, propelled the agency to second place (up from 13th place in 2012) in the annual rankings of China’s most-awarded agencies as compiled by 21st Century Marketing magazine. The agency just added AdFest success to its haul, with 2 Silver for Penguin and 4 Finalists across outdoor and print.
Y&R China was also named China’s Leading Influential Ad Agency on the Brand Contribution Chart 2013. Awards were presented at the Business Leaders and Media Leaders Annual Conference organized by China’s Advertisers (“Brand Owners”) Association, and the top Chinese universities. Y&R was recognized for its growing reputation and fame, with its Cannes wins, the most Lions of any agency in China in 2013, as the highlight.
Y&R Beijing had also added two prestigious Epica Awards to its China 4As and Cannes Lions hauls, making 2013 Y&R China’s most-awarded year to date. At the Epica Awards, Y&R Beijing won Best Graphic Design Silver for Moleskin ‘Every One has a Story’, and Best Corporate Image Bronze for Penguin’s ‘Change Direction’ campaign.
Prior to that, at the China 4A’s, Y&R Beijing won Best Craft Gold and Print Bronze for its ‘Smiles Guaranteed’ Argos campaign. The agency also won Print Silver and Outdoor Bronze for Penguin Audiobooks’ ‘Anytime’. And Y&R Shanghai took home Creative Media Bronze for its highly innovative ‘Seeing Sound’ campaign.
