SAN FRANCISCO – BrightRoll, the only independent and unified programmatic video advertising platform, announced the expansion of its executive team with the addition of Bruce Falck as Chief Operating Officer. In this role, Falck oversees day-to-day operations at BrightRoll and is responsible for leading sales, marketing and business development to scale the company and drive growth of programmatic video globally.

An Internet technology veteran, Falck played a central role in Google’s programmatic business over the past several years. Most recently, he led global sales and strategy for the DoubleClick Digital Marketing platform and advertising exchange.

“The programmatic revolution is well underway. The industry has made incredible progress in the past five years and the best is yet to come — video is where programmatic will reach its true potential,” said Falck. “The BrightRoll platform makes video advertising simple for its clients. I’m excited to join a company that is not only leading the charge in programmatic video, but has the strongest technology portfolio and leadership team in the segment.”

He joined Google in 2006 as one of the founding product managers for Google’s TV advertising business, where he was involved in driving early-stage product development and business strategy. Falck held various leadership positions within Google, driving strategy for Google Audio Ads, Google Display Network, Invite Media and DoubleClick Ad Exchange. Prior to Google, he led product development in a solar energy startup and successfully founded and led three web-based businesses between 1994 and 2003.

In addition to Falck, BrightRoll appointed Guy Yalif as Vice President of Global Marketing. He is responsible for building the BrightRoll brand and fueling continued growth for the company. Most recently, Yalif served as head of global product marketing at Twitter, where he worked closely with TV networks, brands and agencies on the changing TV landscape. Yalif has spent more than a decade as a digital media marketing and product leader at Yahoo and several startups. Previously, he advised Fortune 500 companies at the Boston Consulting Group and designed airplanes.

BrightRoll also recently welcomed Mark Vranesh to its Board of Directors to serve as Audit Committee Chair. The former Zynga CFO brings more than 25 years of experience working with emerging growth technology companies and will oversee all financial reporting and disclosures for BrightRoll.

“In the first half of 2014 alone, we’ve added top talent and made significant advancements to our technology portfolio, including strategic agreements with comScore, Nielsen, Google’s DoubleClick, Verizon, BlueKai, eXelate and Moat,” said Tod Sacerdoti, CEO and founder, BrightRoll. “Very few executives have experience running a global, multi-billion dollar advertising platform business, and we’re thrilled to welcome Bruce, Guy and Mark to the team to scale the company and drive the future of digital video advertising.”
