Former LG Electronics Interactive TV and Ad Executive Wendell Wenjen Joins Simulmedia as VP, Business Development Based in San Francisco

NEW YORK – Simulmedia, an audience-targeted television advertising company, today announced that Wendell Wenjen has joined the company in the newly-created position of Vice President, Business Development. He will be based in San Francisco, where he will be responsible for leading all business development efforts on the West Coast including relationships with TV manufacturers, digital video companies and advertising technology companies.

“Wendell is one of most experienced and talented technologists and executives in leveraging consumer devices for ad delivery and targeting. He has spent 20 years at Silicon Valley technology companies in business development and marketing roles developing new products, services and markets,” says Dave Morgan, CEO of Simulmedia. “We are pleased to expand the Simulmedia footprint on the West Coast with Wendell at the helm.”

Mr. Wenjen comes to Simulmedia from LG Electronics where most recently he was Director of Interactive TV and Advertising Platforms. In that role, he started LG’s Smart TV sell-side digital advertising business in 2011, launched LG’s linear interactive TV service with programmer Showtime Networks in 2013, and began LG’s TV viewing analytics business by creating relationships with media research, media planning and advertising targeting partners. While at LG, Wendell joined the Interactive Media peer group at the Television Academy (the people that bring you the Emmy’s).

Previously, Mr. Wenjen spent over 15 years in marketing and business development leadership roles in technology companies, including 11 years with Intel Corporation, where he launched Intel’s carrier grade server business, and at Acer and Flextronics.  He first started his career at Hughes Aircraft where he developed air traffic control system software.  Mr. Wenjen holds an MBA in marketing from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management and Bachelors of Science and Master of Engineering degree in electrical engineering from Harvey Mudd College.
