Brands Invited to Explore the Uncharted Territory of Engaging Creativity
NEW YORK – Tremor Video, Inc. (NYSE:TRMR), an advertising technology company elevating brand performance across all screens for the world’s leading brands and publishers, Advertising Age, the leading media brand for advertising, marketing and media news, and Creativity, the brand world’s daily destination for the most important and exciting creative work being done in advertising, design and digital creativity around the globe, announced the official launch of the Third Annual Super Creative Video Ad Challenge. The contest, which runs through November, challenges marketers to transform their traditional pre-roll video ads into immersive brand experiences that inspire viewers to actively engage with their messages. This year’s contest will focus solely on mobile video to allow marketers the ability to test the power of sight, sound, motion and touch, through the interactive capabilities that mobile devices allow.
“This year, we’re testing them even further by asking them to create attention-grabbing work for an even more challenging space – mobile advertising.”
“For two years this contest has challenged creatives to come up with moving, impactful ideas for a platform not typically associated with innovation,” said Ann-Christine Diaz, Editor, Creativity. “This year, we’re testing them even further by asking them to create attention-grabbing work for an even more challenging space – mobile advertising.”
Since the contest launched, hundreds of brands have tested their creative abilities. Winners include Universal McCann for the FIAT brand, Integer and MC Media for Blue Moon Brewing Company, Team Detroit for Ford Mustang, and Olson for Miller Lite.
“Interactive mobile video provides a more engaging experience for consumers and better results for marketers, but creating it can be tough with limited resources,” said David Sanderson, Senior Director, Creative Strategy, Tremor Video. “Utilizing the interactive options supported by the mobile medium can add tremendously to the already incredible power of sight, sound, and motion offered by video. We want to shine a light on those who are pushing the envelope of mobile video advertising, while also offering advertisers a no-risk, no-cost opportunity to create interactive mobile video ads.”
This year supporting partners include The Advertising Club of New York, American Advertising Federation, Association of National Advertisers, Interactive Advertising Bureau’s Mobile Marketing Center of Excellence, Mobile Leaders Alliance and Mobile Marketing Association.
The contest is open to any brand or advertiser that would like to experience the power of interactive mobile video. Qualified entries will have the opportunity to work with Tremor Video’s Creative Services team, at no charge, to convert their existing :15 or :30 pre-roll video ads into a Tremor Video Interactive Mobile Video format. Additionally, any brand or advertiser with pre-existing interactive mobile video ad units is also invited to enter.
Entrants that work with the Tremor Video Creative Services team to build new units may have the opportunity to run a short flight on the Tremor Video media network, and all qualified entries will be placed in the contest’s gallery where visitors will vote on their super creative power, and name a People’s Choice Winner. Additionally, a panel of industry experts will vote separately to name a Judge’s Choice Winner. Each winning entry will receive an out-of-this-world prize package.
