MTGx Opts for FreeWheel to Power Digital Business

MTGx to Leverage MRM in Pan-European Deal

London & Stockholm — FreeWheel, the leading provider of video ad management and monetization solutions for the television industry, announced today that it has been selected by Stockholm-based MTGx, the digital accelerator of leading international entertainment broadcasting group Modern Times Group (MTG) to power its digital monetization strategy.

MTGx will utilize FreeWheel’s monetization rights management (MRM) technology to monetize its digital inventory across the Nordics and Central Eastern Europe.

With more than 50B video views in the first half of 2014, and over 15% of that traffic coming from Europe, FreeWheel now powers a large number of the standard cable lineup, aggregators and distributors, representing more than 70% in the US and over 80%  in the UK.
