Conductor Taps Software Marketing Veteran Sheridan Orr to Head Product Marketing

NEW YORK, NY – Conductor, the leading web presence management company, today announced that it has hired Sheridan Orr as senior director of Product Marketing. Orr will contribute her extensive expertise in SaaS marketing to promoting the company’s flagship product, Searchlight™, as market demand increases for unpaid, organic web presence management solutions.

Since the May 2014 launch of its Web Presence Management Platform, Conductor has continued to expand its team and customer base, signing on a record number of new clients, including major brands such as AT&T, Fab.com and Overstock, and opening offices on the West Coast.

“Global and national brands, which have for years sunk millions of dollars into paid media strategies that don’t return, are realizing that they can significantly reduce wasted investment without sacrificing results by embracing unpaid media, and they are seeking out the tools to do so,” said Conductor CEO Seth Besmertnik. “We’re seeing market demand and interest in our product skyrocket, and we needed an experienced, passionate leader to drive innovative growth strategies and market education efforts. Sheridan not only has the deep SaaS and marketing background to engage this growing market, but also the same dedication to changing the face of digital media that we all share. We’re thrilled to welcome her to our team.”

Orr joins Conductor from her previous role as head of global product marketing for ChannelAdvisor, a leading provider of cloud-based e-commerce solutions, where she led marketing and sales initiatives in international markets including Brazil, France and Germany. Her prior career engagements include several roles at self-service software company Meridian Zero Degrees, culminating in her appointment as CMO, as well as five years on the product team at business software company Red Hat. Orr also currently serves as managing partner of the Interrobang Agency, a consulting firm specializing in crafting engaging customer experiences for retailers. She received her MBA from Tulane University and also holds a Master’s degree in English literature from Vanderbilt University.

“What I enjoy most about my work is being the chief storyteller — taking complex technology stories and making them easily understandable,” said Orr. “I’m excited to join Conductor at this stage in its growth because there is an extremely interesting and important story to be told about the enormous potential of unpaid media to deliver results for brands. As industry pioneers and providers of the best web presence management platform available, Conductor is the most qualified thought leader to tell the story.”
