Widespace Doubles Reach to 200 Million Smartphone Users Across Europe, US and MENA

Widespace, Europe’s leading mobile brand advertising company today revealed it is moving beyond European borders in its quest to offer the broadest brand-safe reach in mobile devices. Advertisers are now able to reach nearly 200 million unique smartphone users through Widespace, around 40% of the smartphone population in Europe, US and MENA. This represents traffic growth of 100% since January.

Joy Dean, Director Partnerships, Northern Europe & UK at Widespace says “We’re seeing a rapid increase in reach, partly as a result of Widespace’s market growth in new markets as well as working with leading media publishers including Business Insider, Condé Nast, IDG, Reuters, Vice, Hearst and many more.”

During 2015, Widespace has strengthened its position in several markets as well as expanding its business offerings. With new products such as StreamView and a 100% viewability guarantee, Widespace provides advertising and measurement with a full brand focus, appealing to both advertisers and premium publishers.

“We see a lot of potential in several markets where the smartphone population continues to increase. This creates a great opportunity for growth establishing ourselves as a go-to partner for media agencies and direct clients looking to carry out broad international brand campaigns that reach millions of users across markets” says Joy Dean.

Widespace reaches 128 million unique users throughout 19 European countries, more than half of the European smartphone population. With a strong combination of international and local media partners, Widespace has now extended its reach to over 12 million unique users a month in the MENA region, approximately one third of the local smartphone base. Furthermore, Widespace now reaches over 50 million unique users, one quarter of the local smartphone base in the US via direct media partner deals and 22 million unique users in the UK.

Simon Voysey, Digital Director at Vice Media Inc says “Widespace has become a preferred partner for many well established media houses looking for a trustworthy partner to monetize their mobile traffic across multiple countries.”

“We’re looking at a bright future as the use of mobile devices is far from reaching its peak. Relevant and measureable advertising will continue to be a valuable channel for brands to reach their target groups in the right time and in the right context,” says Joy Dean.
