VR Card™ takes on mass virtual reality content delivery with a high quality mail-able viewer.
The VR Card™ will help businesses distribute fully customized, immersive and branded experiences to a broad range of consumers while providing market intelligence capabilities tied to every viewer.
CHICAGO – Good Yeti, LLC announced a new innovation for delivering virtual reality (VR) Content into homes everywhere. VR Card™ is a compact, cardstock viewer that combines the access of direct mail, the power of online analytics and the immersion of virtual reality.
2016 will be a pivotal year for VR, with the launch of the Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and the Gear VR for mobile phones. While, there is curiosity about these new products, many consumers don’t have a clear idea about what VR really is.
“We saw the biggest hurdle would be getting enough people to understand what the [virtual reality] experience is like,” said Luc Lam, Founder and CEO of Good Yeti, LLC. “Current mobile headsets let you access VR from your phone but require assembly or are too bulky to be practical for shipping. We’ve made our cards compact enough to pack 30 in a shoebox and simple enough to deploy in a single step—all of this to lower that initial trial barrier.”
Virtual reality is an emerging area where new concepts are evolving by the hour. With custom-printed designs and optional features, VR content providers can invent countless experiences for their audience to try. This could range from promotional showcases like new car features to tourism applications like sharing 360 degree vacation photos. There will also be tools for gaining direct and passive feedback from consumers so that companies may understand the success of their promotional campaigns or help with product planning.
Good Yeti, LLC is a Chicago-based startup that develops products to help the VR community expand the reach of their content and services.
VR Card™ is available now on Kickstarter.
