Quantcast and the 4A’s Partner to Offer Educational Series on Programmatic Advertising

Training program powered by Quantcast’s Real-time Advertising Academy

Quantcast, a global leader in applying the power of Big Data to digital and mobile advertising and the 4A’s, the leading trade association representing the advertising agency business, announced a partnership to bring 4A’s members exclusive access to customized training and education resources for the constantly evolving world of programmatic advertising.

The new 4A’s Programmatic Workshop, announced Wednesday at the annual 4A’s Transformation Conference in Miami, will be powered by Quantcast’s existing industry training program called the Real-Time Advertising (RTA) Academy.

“The 4A’s is excited to partner with Quantcast to continue to bring our members top-notch educational training. Programmatic advertising is a hot topic, and there’s a real need for education. People who are hands-on doing programmatic every day know it well, but their colleagues in other disciplines may need a crash course to be able to talk the talk.” said Bill Tucker, Executive Vice President, Media Relations, 4A’s.

Members can receive the training at no cost.

Despite the rapid growth of programmatic, real-time advertising remains a mystery to many industry professionals, providing a growing need for always-on education. The RTA Academy was born in 2013 out of this need as part of Quantcast’s annual “Quantathon” – an employee hackathon – created to address the knowledge gap across media buying professionals.

“Programmatic digital display advertising spend is set to reach $27 billion by 2017 and is driving marketers’ appetite to understand the opportunity,” said Konrad Feldman, CEO and co-founder of Quantcast. “We’re excited to extend Quantcast’s Real-Time Academy industry courses through this partnership with the 4A’s. Together, we will educate marketers on this rapidly evolving digital landscape, helping them to understand how they can employ these new tools and services our industry has to offer.”

Alongside the 4A’ partnership, Quantcast’s RTA Academy is also approved by the IAB UK, making it a globally recognized program.

The RTA Academy’s self-paced curriculum introduces participants to the fundamentals of digital advertising. The courses, designed for advertising professionals at any stage of their career, provide a detailed understanding of the digital advertising industry and programmatic ecosystem. Graduates of the program are provided greater knowledge and insight on the language, tools and processes required to launch programmatic campaigns, convert new customers and expand their overall digital ad objectives. To date, the Academy has trained more than 3,000 professionals throughout 200 events in nine countries. Quantcast’s RTA Academy has recently expanded its program to offer an online course and certification in addition to live workshops.

The 4A’s Programmatic Workshop, powered by Quantcast, has been developed specifically for 4A’s members with their top interests in mind, and was vetted by a 4A’s committee that is active in programmatic advertising. Workshops will take place throughout the year through large sessions offered to groups of member agencies in key regions, as well as sessions at 4A’s members’ offices. The first sessions will occur in Q2.
