Taptica Expands in Asia-Pacific with Establishment of Korean Office

Taptica (AIM: TAP), a global end-to-end mobile advertising platform for advertising agencies and brands, announces that it has expanded its presence in the Asia-Pacific region (APAC) with the opening of an office in Seoul, South Korea. This follows the recent establishment of an office in Beijing, China.

The new office is located in the Gangnam District of Seoul, which is a key business area and a hub for internet-related companies such as eBay, Google, Alibaba, Facebook and inmobi. The Company already works with the largest advertising agencies in Korea and is now able to target companies directly.

Hoon Lee has been appointed as General Manager of the Taptica operations in Korea. Mr. Lee brings over 16 years’ experience in the digital advertising industry, including 10 years at Yahoo – latterly as Head of APAC Search Sales Operations.

The Asia-Pacific region has the largest digital retail market in the world as well as the fastest growing. South Korea is the third largest digital retail market within the region (after China and Japan), and eMarketer expects spending on mobile internet ads to rise 30.0% this year to a total market value of $2.08 billion. Opening an office in South Korea will enable Taptica to better serve its existing client base in APAC as well as to target new customers and further expand its addressable market.

Hagai Tal, Chief Executive Officer of Taptica, said: “This new office in South Korea advances our strategy of increasing our presence in the Asia-Pacific region and I am delighted that we are already gaining traction. We welcome Hoon Lee to Taptica and look forward to benefiting from his significant expertise. Alongside our office in Beijing, we believe we are well positioned to become a leading player in this key growth market.”
