MELBOURNE, Australia – Adslot, the market leader in Automated Guaranteed media trading technology, is proud to announce the recent launch of “Custom Products”, a major enhancement that allows media buyers and sellers to discover, negotiate and trade custom and ad-hoc ad products.
Background to the Launch of Custom Products
Last year, in another industry first, Adslot launched their Briefing module, a media buyer briefing capability fully integrated into its Automated Guaranteed workflow, allowing Buyers to automate trades that would have traditionally been executed through a manual, offline RFP process. ‘Briefing’ gave Buyers the many benefits of Automated Guaranteed (ability to discover publisher inventory and audience, view forward availability in real time, access 1st party ad server performance data, optimise campaign budget in real time) and simultaneously brief multiple Publishers within a single unified workflow.
Custom Products Removes Friction
“Custom Products” further evolves this feature by allowing Publishers to craft proposals using products not yet set up in-platform, then link these products to their ad server post transaction. The benefits of this capability are many, notably that Publisher sales teams no longer need to co-ordinate the product set up process with ad—ops to secure a sale. Publishers can now provide immediate responses to a brief, and importantly can now include any ad product in the process. Custom Products also allows a Publisher to trade specially created ad units and executions that may not yet be configured in their ad server. Given the often demanding response timelines imposed by clients on agencies, then imposed by agencies on publishers, Adslot’s Custom Products feature removes significant friction for buy and seller.
Adslot’s Chief Product Officer, James Craig, said, “Adslot is the first provider to offer this level of speed and flexibility in Automated Guaranteed. Given the often demanding response timelines imposed by clients on agencies, which are then imposed by agencies on publishers, Adslot’s Custom Products feature removes significant friction for buy and seller. By doing so, Adslot prioritises the revenue opportunity for the Publisher over the administrative processes traditionally required in advance of the transaction.
This is consistent with our broader philosophy and direction – Automated Guaranteed exists to enhance and inform human judgement and the relationships between buyer and seller. Automated Guaranteed technology that cannot deliver on this is not relevant”, said Craig.
