NPR DS will Transition DS Streaming Stations to Triton’s Suite of Comprehensive Streaming Audio Services
LOS ANGELES – Triton Digital, a leading technology provider for the audio industry, announced that NPR Digital Services (NPR DS), the Boston-based division of NPR responsible for supporting Member stations’ efforts to deliver streaming and mobile content to their audiences, has selected Triton Digital’s Audio Platform to deliver, monetize and measure live streaming content of NPR DS streaming stations. This announcement marks a deepening of the relationship between NPR and Triton, as NPR currently measures the listening audience of its Member stations with Triton’s MRC accredited Webcast Metrics® audience measurement solution. In addition, Triton recently announced NPR’s use of their Tap Podcast solution to monetize its podcast content.
“At NPR DS, we strive to provide our Member stations with access to the best available technology, expertise and support to help them deliver compelling and engaging content and grow their audience”
As an upgrade to its current offering, NPR DS will transition all DS streaming stations that currently use their audio streaming services to Triton’s audio platform, the comprehensive, industry-leading solution for online audio. Stations will immediately begin utilizing Triton’s reliable, audio-centric content delivery network, which is 100% owned and operated by Triton.
Additionally, NPR DS stations will now have access to Triton’s Advertising Platform, TAP. Tap is a complete campaign management tool that enables stations to increase both audience engagement and revenue, through the dynamic insertion of content into both live streams and podcasts. The platform also includes Webcast Metrics.
“At NPR DS, we strive to provide our Member stations with access to the best available technology, expertise and support to help them deliver compelling and engaging content and grow their audience,” said Stephanie Miller, Managing Director at NPR Digital Services. “We are pleased to expand our relationship with Triton and look forward to providing stations with an upgrade to streaming services that will further enable them to take advantage of the tremendous growth of online audio.”
“We value NPR and are honored to provide Member stations with all of the tools they need to effectively deliver, measure and monetize their content,” said Dominick Milano, EVP, Publisher Development & Client Service at Triton Digital. “We are committed to supporting NPR, all Member stations and the public radio sector as a whole as they leverage the tremendous growth and evolving revenue opportunities made possible through online audio.”
