MPP Global, the creator of the leading cloud platform for premium media companies seeking to identify, engage and monetize their digital audiences, announced that Jon Strudwick has joined the executive team as chief financial officer. In this role, he will manage the MPP Global accounts team, which includes updating employees on the company’s finances, overseeing all fiscal reporting and risk management activities and advising the company’s board of directors about growth opportunities. He will also assist in developing a uniform business strategy across departments to ensure that KPIs are reached. Strudwick is based in Chelmsford, England and reports to CEO and Co-founder Paul Johnson.
“We are thrilled that MPP Global’s newest CFO is an experienced leader whose unique financial insights will immediately benefit our team,” said Paul Johnson, CEO of MPP Global. “His familiarity with U.S. payment systems and markets will also be an incredible asset as we expand further in that market.”
Strudwick’s prior work with multi-channel, payment solution providers — PayPoint Mobile and Online, First Data Corporation and others — will assist him in supporting MPP Global’s international expansion. At First Data Corporation, he was responsible for acquisition accounting and introducing best practices from the U.S. into the U.K. Most notably, Strudwick was the first to introduce call-center activities into the European market after studying and overseeing U.S. models, as well as helping to close a deal with Barclaycard, making First Data Corporation the first company to outsource their card processing.
“Having admired MPP Global’s leadership in accelerating revenues for media companies, I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to see the application of its digital intelligence solution firsthand,” said Jon Strudwick, CFO. “MPP Global has set a new standard in payment solutions for publishers and TV organizations — who have been incredibly underserved — and I will have an active role in supporting the company’s efforts to grow and break into new verticals across the globe.”
Strudwick is a qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA).
