Sovrn Purchases Editorial Assistant and Related Content Products from Zemanta

Addition of new products gives publishers new options to reach a wider audience

BOULDER, Colo. – Sovrn, advocate and partner to independent publishers, who represent more than 80,000 websites, has completed the purchase of the Editorial Assistant and Related Posts technology and assets from New York based Zemanta, Inc. Terms of the deal are not being disclosed. The purchase does not include any current Zemanta, Inc. employees. Zemanta, Inc. will continue their focus on their Zemanta One marketing content distribution platform.

The Editorial Assistant and Related Posts products, with more than 260,000 active WordPress installs, enable easier and more relevant creation and distribution of content for publishers.

The Sovrn and Zemanta teams will immediately begin the process of transitioning the Editorial Assistant and Related Posts products to Sovrn. The transition process should be completed by the end of September.

Going forward Sovrn will be investing additional resources to enhance and increase quality content as well as faster and easier ways to add contextually relevant articles, photos, and video. The addition of new reporting and analysis will allow publishers and brands better understanding of their content reach, engagement and distribution.
