Paris – Quantum Advertising, pioneer and European leader in programmatic native advertising, has appointed Mickaël Ferreira as CEO. Co-founder of Quantum Advertising with extensive experience in digital advertising automation as well as a taste for innovation, he is rolling out a strategic plan aiming to double Quantum’s growth.
On 8 September 2016, the digital advertising group AdUX (formerly HiMedia Group) announced an increase in its stake in its subsidiary Quantum Advertising, which was set up as a joint venture in 2014. Quantum Advertising’s technology significantly improves ad effectiveness, providing higher visibility and maximum engagement for advertisers. It ensures minimum intrusion on the user experience and helps to prevent the installation of ad blockers
Mickaël Ferreira, Quantum Advertising co-founder and shareholder, has been appointed CEO. Quantum will maintain its commercial and technological independence.
A strategic roadmap aiming to double the size of Quantum Advertising by 2018: partnerships, marketing expertise, international, R&D, etc.
In the first half of 2016, Quantum posted a 132% increase in revenue. Mickaël Fereirra has unveiled a strategic plan which should make it possible to even further increase the startup’s growth rate.
New partnerships with publishers should make it possible to double the size of the native marketplace in early 2017.
At the same time, a plan to hire additional experts in the digital and programmatic advertising market has been put in place so as to quickly increase the number of staff by 50%.
Mickaël Ferreira has also announced the development of Quantum Advertising’s R&D centre in Romania, based around a partnership with local facilities and making it possible to train and successfully integrate developers specialised in programmatic.
In order to increase its European presence, Quantum Advertising will open two new countries in January 2017. Quantum’s aim is to strengthen its position as the European leader on the native advertising market. This market is expected to reach $36 billion in the United States in 2021, compared to $16.7 billion in 2016 (source: Business Intelligence), and is only just getting started in Europe. Other countries are expected to be activated during the year.
Mikaël Ferreira said: “Quantum Advertising is already a reference in the French adtech ecosystem. We are undergoing substantial growth and are leading in several European countries. Now we want to reinforce this European leadership in a particularly promising market, which is still getting started in Europe.”

Co-founder of Quantum Advertising, Mickaël Ferreira was previously the Managing Director of Hi-Media AdExchange(now AdUX), one of the leading programmatic marketplaces in Europe, and the largest to have a holistic yield with 100% of its impressions offered through real-time auctions. It has 160 million internet users, as well as 1,000 European publishers and 15,000 advertisers.
Before that, Mickaël Ferreira was the Business Development Director for AOL Advertising, the leader in automated publishing solutions in Europe until 2012, which he led to the top position in France.
