Bidstack Group (LSE:BIDS), the native in-game advertising platform, announced two new hires – with Rob Dembitz appointed as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), and Simon Gosling named as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).
Gosling joins Bidstack as CMO, bringing with him more than 25 years’ experience of working at some of the most recognised companies in advertising. Prior to this, Simon worked as Futurist at Unruly, where he was responsible for leading – from concept to completion – the ‘Future Home’ project, giving marketers a glimpse of the future in regards to connected homes. As a result of the project, Gosling was named New Tech Pioneer of the Year at the 2018 Campaign Tech Awards, and was invited to speak at industry events including IAB Engage and DMEXCO.
At Bidstack, Gosling will use his passion for innovation and vast industry knowledge to help improve the company’s positioning, ensuring that clients and partners understand the value of the solutions it offers.
Simon Gosling commented: “I’m thrilled to start working alongside such a talented and ambitious team who are at the cutting edge of digital advertising. Through its proprietary ad-tech, Bidstack enables brands to reach gamers at scale, at a time when the gaming market is larger than film and music combined. New technologies, such as 5G and cloud-based gaming, are set to increase the already huge global gaming audience (2.5 billion) exponentially. Bidstack possesses a tremendous vision for the future and I am excited to be part of a team where so much innovation is taking place.”
Rob Dembitz joins Bidstack as CCO, having spent the past decade in private equity backed media businesses, including EMI and Cannes Lions, where as Global Head of Innovation he launched three new businesses in three years – Lions Health, Lions Innovation, and Lions Entertainment. He has an MBA from London Business School and is a frequent speaker at media and marketing events around the world. An expert in business planning and development, he will aid Bidstack in creating clear commercial strategies to further position them as the leading in-game advertising group.
Rob Dembitz said of his new role: “I’m excited to be joining a company which is thinking years ahead in terms of digital advertising and is devoted to reaching a rich, growing audience across the gaming ecosystem, enabling brands to unlock a channel that has been hitherto inaccessible.”
Commenting on both appointments, James Draper, CEO of Bidstack said: “Adding Rob and Simon strengthens our management team as we put into place the foundations for the international growth of Bidstack.
“Rob and I recently attended Cannes Lions and his network became clear very quickly during our time there. Rob has connections with people at the highest levels of the world’s largest and fastest growing advertising agencies, and his professionalism and experience will help all our department leads as we scale our operations.
“Simon has a background in building out the core messages of new and innovative products and verticals. Having witnessed his TED talks and other speaking appearances in person – we knew he would be the perfect candidate to continue the education process of our offering, to both game developers and the advertising community.”
Bidstack bridge the gap between gamers, game developers, and advertisers by enhancing the gaming experience with rich, real world advertising.
Established in 2017, Bidstack increases realism in games for gamers without breaking immersion, open up alternative revenue streams for game developers, and empower advertisers to reach a growing, exclusive and diverse audience.
