KissMyAds Brings Mobile Age Marketing to Traditional Desktop Websites

  • Publishers gain new sources of revenue
  • Mobile enabled advertising on classic desktop websites
  • Additional monetization for smartphone and tablet traffic

Cologne, Germany – With immediate effect, KissMyAds now offers publishers the opportunity to increase revenues from mobile advertising, even if they only have traditional desktop websites.  The new publisher product, named “Intelligent App Banner”, offers publishers even more options to monetize their mobile traffic from conventional sites, be it from tablets or from smartphones, thus building a bridge between the “old” world of digital marketing and the “new” mobile era. Non-mobile optimized sites are able to display app banners, interstitials, banner rolls and intelligent app banners.

“Whilst the marketing world bets ever higher on mobile channels, not all players have fully grasped mobile or are currently executing it. Our new publisher product creates an intelligent connection between conventional websites and mobile marketing”, says Florian Lehwald, CEO and Founder of KissMyAds. “We have often heard from publishers that tablet traffic redirected to old desktop sites leads to suboptimal revenues, because the advertising is far less attractive. Therefore we have prioritized our efforts to solve this, providing a solution that helps our partners maximize their income, and we’re happy to have it ready in time for dmexco.” KissMyAds will be at the trade show dmexco in Cologne, Germany, on 18 and 19 September at their boot B-008 in hall 7.

The new KissMyAds technology works as follows: If a smartphone or tablet user accesses a non-mobile optimized site, publishers are able to display advertising specifically for that mobile user in addition to their conventional ads. This complements the existing ad channel and does not disrupt the session, delivering a smooth user friendly experience. The mobile specific ads may float at specific positions as users scroll up and down. Publishers can display advertising that fits the context and the user’s mobile device, typically a themed app that works well in connection with the site’s target audience. For example, the publisher of a games site may opt to display suitable app advertising to those users that reach the site from a smartphone or a tablet. This means: By making sense of the user’s device and environment, advertising makes even more sense than before.

“While we continue to embrace mobile, and mobile usage continues to grow, we believe this is a sensible addition to the ad channel mix. The solution is easy to integrate and uncomplicated to use”, says Florian Lehwald.
