Glam Media Hires Dan Lagani as Chief Revenue Officer

Former President of Reader’s Digest & Fairchild Fashion Group, and Sales Executive at Meredith, Better Homes and Gardens, Condé Nast and Prime Media

He will be based in New York City reporting to Samir Arora, Glam Media Chairman and CEO.

Dan Lagani is a seasoned media executive with extensive experience in traditional print and digital advertising sales, leading large-scale organizations, and was the driving force behind the digital transformation and reinvention of some of the world’s best-known media brands, including Reader’s Digest, Fairchild Fashion Group, Meredith and Condé Nast.

Most recently, Dan served as President, North America for Reader’s Digest Association. In addition to transforming Reader’s Digest into a top paid digital magazine on Amazon’s Kindle, increased online traffic and total digital revenue, and introduced a line of co-branded insurance with Humana and launched the cause-related social program, “We Hear You America”, which generated 50M online votes. His efforts resulted in new business models, award-winning websites, Fortune 500 partnerships, television programs and live consumer events. Dan has managed media revenues of over $600 million annually and managed companies with more than 500 employees.

Prior to Reader’s Digest, Dan was Group Publisher of Condé Nast Bridal Group, Publisher at Meredith of Better Homes & Gardens and Ladies’ Home Journal, and Publisher of George Magazine. Early in his career, he was the Associate Publisher Condé Nast Traveler and started in 1988 at Meredith as Eastern Advertising Manager, Better Homes & Gardens Magazine and Group Advertising Manager, Country Home Magazine.

At Glam Media, Mr. Lagani will be responsible for all revenue, brand category development, media agency relations, strategic sales, brand strategy and client services, advertiser solutions and sales operations. This is a newly created position with all sales teams and region operations reporting to him. Mr. Lagani will focus on the company’s largest region, North America—USA and Canada, and will be a member of Glam Media’s executive operating team.
