Glide Engage Launches Powerful Twitter Writer/Reader and One-Click Streaming “Media Tweets”

With one click, users can share their favorite songs, videos, photos, documents and news in their Tweets

NEW YORK – Glide Engage launched powerful Twitter support, available at http://www.GlideEngage.com and http://www.Glide0S.com.

Your Twitter Feed is now available in Glide Engage. Just click on Twitter in the Glide Engage toolbar to see your latest Tweets. You can access your full Twitter feed including people you are following. When creating a Tweet from Glide Engage in Twitter mode, two character counters are displayed, 1,400 characters for Glide Engage and 140 characters for Twitter, so that users know when they have reached the Twitter character limit.

“Users can now easily create Tweets from Glide Engage and take advantage of Glide’s integrated rights based file sharing service to share breaking news, documents, images, music, videos and other files with one-click in their Tweets,” said TransMedia Chairman and CEO, Donald Leka.

Glide Engage is a rights-based social networking and micro-blogging service that enables users to send and read messages that carry Breaking News, documents, images and other files and share their thoughts. Glide Engage is fully integrated with Glide Email, Glide Groups, Glide Meeting, Glide Write (Word Processor), Glide Presenter (Presentation Application) and Glide Crunch (Spreadsheet Application) as well as with Glide’s synchronized, cross platform compatible file storage solution and Glide Mobile http://www.GlideMobile.com. Glide Engage provides users with 10GBs of free storage.

The Glide OS Delivers Breaking News and Developing Stories through Micro-Blogging and Social Networking

While leading micro-blogging and social networking services may be useful for established media organizations to communicate with their audiences, Glide Engage is designed to arm consumers and small businesses with powerful rights-based cross platform file sharing, web publishing, productivity and advanced collaboration tools to uniquely differentiate themselves.

Glide Engage integrates customizable News Alerts so that users can easily track Developing News Stories and share them in posts with one click.

“Glide Engage brings a new dynamism, immediacy and control to the sharing of news and information through social networking,” said Mr. Leka. “Events like Katrina and Iran’s recent election bring to light the demand for such technology. Engage with its built in rights based file sharing and complete suite of productivity and collaboration applications is the ideal micro-blogging service to facilitate the quick and secure exchange of information for breaking news and developing stories. Glide Engage accomplishes this in one seamless application so that the user does not have to use a myriad of external applications that make social networking and file sharing clumsy, time consuming and insecure.”

Glide Engage integrates the Glide OS rights based and synchronized file sharing system so that users can share their documents, photos, drawings etc. that are synchronized from their local desktops in posts with one click. Users can also assign “view only” or “edit” rights to files. In Kids’ Glide, children can engage with friends and family in a safe, protected environment that can be administrated and monitored by parents.

Glide Engage integrates the Glide OS rights based collaboration application suite including Glide Email, Glide Groups and Glide Meeting to take your collaboration to the next level. Users simply click on the Glide Email, Glide Groups or Glide Meeting icons in a discussion and all participants, related posts and files shared in the discussion are automatically added to the email as addresses and attachments and to the group discussion or online meeting as participants and files. “The agility and scalability that is derived from developing all of the components of the Glide platform in-house yield seamless integration, greater functionality, more cost effective development and speed to market,” said Mr. Leka.

The complete Glide Desktop is accessible directly from the Engage application with one click and Glide’s productivity and social applications including Glide Write, Glide Presenter, Glide Crunch, web publishing, drawing and media applications are launched directly from “editable” links inserted in posts with access rights determined by the author.

Glide Engage allows you to simultaneously publish your Engage posts to Facebook, MySpace and Twitter. Glide Engage also enables you to link your Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Delicious and StumbleUpon profiles into your Glide Engage profile.

Glide Engage is integrated within all of Glide’s productivity applications and file management system. Any file that the user is working on or would like to share can be inserted into an Engage post with one-click through Glide’s object-oriented navigation system. “The rights-based cross platform compatible Glide OS and integrated collaboration suite of Glide Engage, Glide Email, Glide Groups and Glide Meeting is the “wave” of the future available today,” said Mr. Leka.

Glide Engage can be accessed using Mozilla Firefox 3, Apple Safari 3, Microsoft IE 7 and Google Chrome browsers as well as native Glide Sync applications for Windows, Mac, Linux and Solaris. Glide Engage will begin rolling out its mobile applications on August 14 starting with the native Glide Engage native Android application.
