LOS ANGELES – BUZZMEDIA, the largest publisher of pop culture sites on the Internet, announced the addition of Chris George to the company as Senior Vice President of Integrated Marketing & Operations. George joins from MySpace, where he served as VP, Integrated Marketing and oversaw the development of integrated partnerships for leading brand advertisers.

In his new role, George will manage all aspects of revenue and sales solutions for BUZZMEDIA, including the continued development and execution of the company’s industry-leading branded social programming campaigns across its top entertainment properties, which include Buzznet, Celebuzz, TheSuperficial, Stereogum, WWTDD, Absolute Punk and Just Jared, among many others.

“Chris brings an extraordinary track record of developing cutting-edge ad products and creative sponsorships for leading brands, which will prove invaluable to BUZZMEDIA and our marketing partners,” said Doug Rohrer, CRO, BUZZMEDIA. “Our advertising business has grown tremendously as a result of our ability to leverage BUZZMEDIA’s position as the pulse of pop culture and to program campaigns around brand messaging to create mass engagement.”

“I saw a big opportunity with BUZZMEDIA and look forward to continuing to build on its success in creating integrated campaigns for brands that effectively reach a large and influential audience,” said George. “The high level of engagement the company’s sites have with dedicated audiences puts BUZZMEDIA in a unique position to program the advertiser into the entertainment experience to create meaningful results, and I’m excited to help build on this winning formula.”
