iheartradio Display Ad Inventory Sold Out for January

Plus: Android version up and running on Google Nexus One; Android take rate topping that of either iPhone or BlackBerry!

NEW YORK – Clear Channel Radio announced it has completely sold out January 2010 display ad inventory for its popular digital music and radio app across both its Web and mobile platforms. Led by FOX and the CW, advertisers have bought all of the premium ad opportunities available this month.

Fox’s sponsorship will run from Tuesday, January 19th until Wednesday January 20th to promote the premiere of “Human Target Part 1” on Sunday, January 17th at 8/7c and “Human Target” on Wednesday, January 20th at 9/8c.

The CW’s sponsorship of iheartradio started on Monday, January 4th and will run until Monday, January 18th to promote the premiere of “Life Unexpected” on Monday, January 18th at 9/8c.

Separately, the company announced the take rate for its new Android app is already outpacing the early downloads on both the iPhone and BlackBerry, and that iheartradio is up and running on Google’s Nexus One.

iheartradio is a Top 100 iPhone app and a Top 20 BlackBerry app, with more than 4.5 million total unique downloads. The mobile version runs on the iPhone and iPod Touch, BlackBerry and smart phones with Android v1.5 or higher, including Motorola DROID, HTC Droid Eris, and Google’s new Nexus One.
