Effort Will Showcase Diversity of Communications Industry
FALLS CHURCH, Va. – Conceived to highlight the benefits of its directory of communications professionals, Capitol Communicator has launched a truck-mounted ad in high-traffic areas of Greater Washington.
Headlined “Want to Crash a White House Party?,” the backlit, scrolling ad invites viewers to consider the impact of communications needs such as invitation printing and design, public relations, and of course crisis management. Viewers realize there are many types of communicators and that Capitol Communicator’s SourceBook is the one place to find them. The ad plays off the well-publicized 2009 debacle in which uninvited guests attended a White House function.
“The value of communications is not always understood, and with this ad we expect to raise awareness that there is a resource available with various specialties depending on the communication need,” says Paul Duning of Capitol Communicator.
Created by Mertz Alliance and circulated by the out-of-home advertising group Hutzpah Media, the ad is visible in downtown Washington, D.C. business districts as well as Chevy Chase, Bethesda and Rockville in suburban Maryland . It will run five days a week in April and will be in close proximity to business and communications events. It will have an estimated 800,000 to 2.5 million exposures per month in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
