Former Razorfish and SapientNitro Executives Join BLITZ

Agency Names Tim Richards as VP of User Experience and Jack Skeels as VP of Business Development

As a foremost expert in developing user experiences that connect people directly with brands, Tim brings an impressive portfolio and working knowledge that will have an immediate impact on BLITZ’s campaigns. Complimenting the expansion to the agency’s technology and creative teams, BLITZ also named Jack Skeels as the Vice President of Business Development to help support the growing book of business and revenue.

Tim joins BLITZ directly from Razorfish, where he served as Vice President of Experience in the West, overseeing UX for all North American clients in the Western region. While there, he served as a thought leader and visionary on accounts including Intel, Disney, the NFL, SONY and Activision. In his new role at BLITZ, he will drive innovation and strategy for UX and creative efforts – continuing to develop new tools and processes for conceptualizing and communicating user experience design. Tim is also charged with helping the agency expand its existing services to include rich user interface (UI) development and applications for specific hardware and devices, including console gaming, mobile, out-of-home and location-based services.

Jack brings an impressive multi-decade track record of increasing business and developing new vertical relationships for a range of services. As the former Managing Director at SapientNitro’s Los Angeles office, and most recently the same role at EPOS, Jack helped build and grow deep partnerships with major clients including Hewlett-Packard, Cisco Systems, Linksys, WebEx, Bare Escentuals, Genentech and more. Prior to his roles at SapientNitro and EPOS, Jack also held executive and senior leadership positions at top Los Angeles area companies, including the Global Gaming League, PLX systems, the RAND Corporation and Northrop-Grumman.

The new appointments come on the heels of a string of major client wins and high-level executive recruits for BLITZ, including Derek Van den Bosch (TBWAChiatDay) as Vice President of Delivery and Greg Morrell (Proxicom) as Executive Vice President of Client Services, as well as Eric Perez (Ted+Perez) as Group Creative Director. The agency also recently announced Dave McClain, another former Razorfish veteran, as Senior Creative Director.
