Tabbed Display Updates Audiences 140 Characters at a Time
Palo Alto – AdGent 007, the only global media and technology company to provide both audience delivery systems and proprietary social media platforms for premium publishers and advertisers, announced that it has launched The Skinny, a widget tab that website owners can add to their site to display instant updates with Titter, 140 characters at a time.
“This is undoubtedly the easiest way for a publisher or blogger to update his or her audience without having IT break into the page and physically change it,” says Cameron Yuill, founder and CEO of AdGent 007. “With a single tweet sent via Twitter, The Skinny updates all site visitors with information, news or deals – everything from an update to a previously published story, to a deal alert, from a call to action – to a simple ‘good morning.’ ”
The Skinny opens from a fixed tab location on any webpage and displays the most recent tweet linked to the widget in a non invasive overlay window. Once the tab is live on a website, the owner can simply update the tab via a tweet. Not only do followers get the update but anyone visiting a site quickly gets the latest updates in a simple, easy-to-digest format. The Skinny is available as a tab which can be installed in the white space at the top or either sidebar of a site or as an inline bar that can be installed at the bottom of articles or pages.
The unit takes less than a minute to install and is available free to test for a ten day period at www.grabtheskinnytab.com. Website owners have the choice to buy a single tab for $9.95 per month or 10 tabs for $19.95 a month. Enterprise and customizable versions are available on request.
