Work Underway to Localize Product to Help Businesses Engage on Twitter, Facebook
SAN FRANCISCO – Global interactive marketing provider ExactTarget announced an agreement with Japan-based global ICT solution provider NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com) to bring CoTweet, ExactTarget’s social media management platform, to the Japanese market by end of first quarter 2011.

The partnership will make CoTweet’s enterprise Twitter and Facebook management, engagement and measurement application available in Japanese and will rely on NTT Com’s existing Online Marketing Group sales team to sell the localized application.

A September 2010 report from Forrester Research Inc. entitled “A Global Update of Social Technographics” found 36 percent of Japanese adults are active creators on social networking sites and 75 percent of online Japanese adults view content on social sites as spectators.
The news of the partnership between NTT Com and ExactTarget comes less than a year after ExactTarget acquired San Francisco-based CoTweet to create the industry’s first complete solution for managing communications across all interactive marketing channels including social media, email, mobile and the Web.
