AOL Advertising Names Scott Kelliher Industry Practice Head for Technology Category

Announcement Shows Continued Growth of AOL’s Industry Development Team

NEW YORK – AOL Advertising announced that Scott Kelliher has been named Industry Practice Head for the Technology category in addition to his current role as the Telecom and Technology Category Director. In the Industry Practice Head role, Kelliher will be responsible for partnering with sales leadership to execute a national industry-specific strategy working with the team to help develop breakthrough ideas and creative solutions for marketers. He will continue to actively participate on panels and speak at industry events representing AOL and offer attendees real-life examples of how best to utilize digital, mobile, and emerging media to achieve their strategic marketing initiatives. He is based in the New York office.

Six Industry Practice Heads, including CPG/Health, Travel, Automotive, Finance, Entertainment and Multicultural were announced recently as part of the newly formed Industry Development team led by John Burke who joined AOL earlier this year.

He is already regarded as an expert in this field and will bring his expansive knowledge into this new role. We are thrilled to have him join the team.”

Kelliher, who joined AOL in September of 2008, will continue to serve as the Telecom & Technology Category Sales Director where he leads the East Coast sales team who are focused on technology clients. In this new, expanded role, he will work across numerous programming and technology groups, as well as with key constituent partners, to shape strategy, sales and product development for this sector.

Before arriving at AOL, Kelliher was the Director of Mobile Media Services for Virgin Mobile, where he oversaw development and sales of different programs available to media partners across the country including Sugar Mama, Virgin Mobile’s platform designed to allow customers to interact with different types of advertising creative in exchange for free airtime, on-deck WAP banner ads powered by Third Screen Media, and custom content integrations. Prior to Virgin Mobile, Kelliher was the National Director of Sales for The Lodge, one of the country’s foremost providers of original music for television commercials.
