NEW YORK, NY— TRAFFIQ®, the digital media workflow platform, today announced the addition of online advertising technology development expert Scott Tomlin to its team. In his new role as Senior Vice President of Engineering, Tomlin will lead TRAFFIQ’s world-class team of developers and engineers to pioneer and deliver to market innovative new software solutions to improve workflow and productivity for the digital media, publishing and advertising industries.

A Microsoft veteran since 1997, Tomlin brings nearly 15 years of experience in software development to the TRAFFIQ team. Reporting directly to TRAFFIQ’s Chief Product Officer Eric Picard, Tomlin is tasked with end-to-end ownership of the company’s engineering function, including software and systems architecture, software development and quality assurance.

“I worked with Scott for years at Microsoft, and was delighted when he approached me about this opportunity.  He is a great leader; he’s super smart, extremely creative, has led small and large teams across multiple geographies, has immense integrity, and deeply understands both the business and technology problems facing online advertising,” Picard said. “We look forward to having his leadership and insight on our team to drive technology, spur innovation and uncover new revenue opportunities for TRAFFIQ and our clients.”

Across various roles at Microsoft, Tomlin was responsible for advertising systems, defining and delivering scalable products used by Microsoft, large brands, self-serve advertisers and other third parties that drive $3+ billion in revenue with greater than 99% service uptime while delivering more than 20 billion ad impressions per day.

Across various leadership roles over the last nine years working on Microsoft’s advertising platforms, Tomlin oversaw teams focused on such initiatives as Creative Management, Campaign Management, Pricing Optimization and Editorial/Content Control, while delivering significant improvements in operational efficiency. Prior to this, Tomlin also served as a Senior Development Lead and Web Development Manager at Microsoft, having joined the company in 1997 from Wasser Studios, Inc., an online documentation startup based in Seattle.
