Federated Media Publishing and Zemanta Partner to Bring Content Marketing to All Publishers and Brands

Conversation Targeting and New Publisher Tools Will Optimize Content Creation

SAN FRANCISCO – Federated Media Publishing, which powers the Independent Web, announced a strategic partnership with leading authoring tool provider Zemanta. This partnership will dramatically expand the scale and reach of FMP’s successful content marketing programs by helping brands activate hundreds of thousands of publishers on the Independent Web.

FMP pioneered the idea of digital content marketing and sponsored posts but despite the fact that these programs offer much higher engagement rates, technological limitations and the manually labor-intensive nature of these campaigns made scaling difficult.

Introducing: FMP’s Extended Content Series

The combination of FMP’s superior content marketing and editorial expertise and Zemanta’s easy to use author tools will work symbiotically to bring brands and independent content creators together. The partnership will provide publishers with a content authoring plug-in that invites them to create brand-sponsored content in real-time. Authors will now start the conversation via sponsored posts and brands will then be able to join the conversation in a transparent, authentic and respectful way.

This integrated tool will offer automated reporting, tracking pixel insertion, logo inclusion and FTC disclosure language. It will also contextually monitor what a contributor is writing in real-time, which will help make specific author selection easier and more scalable for marketers and brands.

Conversational Marketing Products for Third Party Developers

On the heels of FMP’s partnership with WordPress to power WordAds, this is the second in a long line of planned, new conversational marketing products that FMP will bring to market that can integrate seamlessly into third-party developers’ existing products or experiences.
