Gordon McLeod Joins Krux

San Francisco and Miami – Krux (www.krux.com), the technology leader in cloud-based consumer data solutions, today announced the addition of Gordon McLeod to its executive team, joining as the company’s president.

Mr. McLeod is an experienced media leader, most recently serving as President of The Wall Street Journal Digital Network where he oversaw worldwide digital product, revenue, and operations for WSJ.com, MarketWatch, Barron’s, SmartMoney and allthingsD. Since 2011 he has been an investor, advisor and board member for a variety of media technology companies.
“It’s an honor and a privilege to welcome Gordon to the team,” stated Krux co-founder and CEO Tom Chavez. “I’ve known Gordon as a client, colleague, and friend for several years. He’s an immensely talented executive and a terrific human being. I have every confidence that he will dramatically accelerate our build-out in the short term and help us achieve our sprawling ambition in the longer term.”

“Gordon has one of the sharpest minds in media today,” said Peter Naylor, EVP, Digital Media, at NBCUniversal and chairman of the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB). “In previous roles he’s demonstrated the vision and breadth of perspective required to guide the media industry’s shift into digital. In this new role at Krux, I am excited to see Gordon support the media industry as it embraces its data-driven future.”

Krux’s cloud-based infrastructure helps websites capture, control, and connect consumer data signatures across all digital screens and sources. With the Krux platform, companies can put their data to work delivering safer, smarter, cooler, faster web experiences.

“I have worked with Gordon on digital media and technology issues for ten years, most recently when he advised our digital media team,” said Scott Williams, who oversees Portal and Advertising for AT&T. “He’s smart, decisive and innovative — qualities that will serve him and Krux well as they continue to tackle the issues of data management across the web.”

McLeod will oversee all of Krux’s client- and partner-facing activities worldwide, including sales, services, business development, and marketing. He will focus on cementing Krux’s market lead in consumer web data solutions and guiding the global expansion of the sales and services teams.

Prior to WSJ, McLeod held executive media and digital roles at CBS News, Grey Entertainment and Time Inc. His industry expertise will be instrumental to the Krux sales efforts, and his years of operating experience will prove invaluable as the Krux management team scales operations to support rapid company growth.

“I am incredibly excited to be joining Krux. Over the last two years, the founders Tom and Vivek have assembled an amazingly diverse and talented team, unmatched in the industry, and I am honored to be counted among them,” stated McLeod. “Krux’s momentum in digital media is impressive, and I look forward to building on that foundation to change the way all websites – not just traditional web publishers – capture, control, and connect consumer web data.”

McLeod assumes his new duties at Krux immediately and will be based in their New York City offices.
