Gentzel to Leverage Sales and Marketing Expertise to Expand NDN’s National Footprint

NEW YORK, NY – NDN, the online video platform that powers the profitable newsroom, today announced Kevin Gentzel as its new chief revenue officer. Gentzel will leverage over 13 years at Forbes to elevate NDN’s national advertising sales and marketing efforts as NDN expands strategic relationships with leading online news publishers and media websites.

NDN provides premium content, video and ad serving, analytics, and premium monetization to more than 4,500 online news publishers. Online news publishers are able to provide a more engaging experience to their audiences while generating premium ad revenue. Advertisers work with NDN to reach targeted audiences with premium video on premium sites.

Gentzel previously was chief revenue officer at Forbes Media, where he led sales and marketing initiatives in the U.S., Europe, Africa and Latin America. In the position, he built high-performing management, sales and marketing teams, and created Forbes’ CMO practice. Previously, he worked as chief advertising officer at Forbes.com, where his expertise led Forbes.com to win MIN Online Sales Team of the Year and Avenue A/Razorfish Business Publisher of the Year.

“NDN has revolutionized how content producers and publishers distribute and monetize their video content online. This has created an opportunity for advertisers to reach the most valuable audiences consuming online video content on premium publisher sites,” said Kevin Gentzel, chief revenue officer at NDN. “I am excited to join NDN during this high growth stage as NDN enables the profitable transition of the online newsroom.”

Gentzel joins NDN amidst fast growth, both for the company and the online video industry, as advertising dollars move expeditiously from TV to online. NDN reached over 34,000,000 unique viewers in May and was most recently ranked by comScore as the 8th largest video reach property on the web with content viewing uniques. In addition to distributing premium video content to high quality publishers, NDN also offers advertisers a host of targeted opportunities to reach users with pre-roll advertising across high quality, late-breaking video content.

“NDN is rapidly becoming a national rep firm for the largest online media organizations across the country. Kevin brings the experience, relationships, and leadership to rapidly grow monetization for NDN and our partners,” said Greg Peters, chairman and chief executive officer of NDN. “Kevin’s experience at Forbes makes him the right person to lead NDN’s overall sales and marketing efforts and we are very pleased to have him on the team.”
