WESTMINSTER, Colo. – Datalogix, the leader at connecting digital media and offline sales, announced it has acquired Connection Engine, a fast-growing, venture-backed company that provides real-time insights for marketers.
Connection Engine develops digital marketing technologies to help companies understand and reach their most valuable customers and prospects. Connection Engine’s cloud-based platform provides instant, data-driven insights using sophisticated analytics connected through anonymous customer keys. These insights are used to drive highly-targeted customer acquisition and retention programs with proven results.
“Our objective has been to revolutionize the way companies develop customer insights using scalable cloud technologies. The end goal for our clients is more relevant marketing communications and smarter marketing spend decisions,” said Eric Kirby, Founder/CEO of Connection Engine. “Over 200 leading companies have already analyzed over one billion customer keys through our platform.”
Connection Engine’s SaaS platform will be foundational in the growth of Datalogix’s growing DLX ROI product suite, which is focused on providing audience insights and sales lift measurement for brands, agencies, and media companies.
“We have partnered with Connection Engine since their inception, and have been impressed by what they’ve accomplished in a short period of time,” said Datalogix CEO Eric Roza. “The exponential growth in both data production and real-time decisioning systems calls for a fundamentally new interaction model between the offline and online worlds, and the Connection Engine platform is a key component in Datalogix’s plans to lead the industry toward this future,” he added. “Eric Kirby has been a true digital media innovator since co-founding two companies that were acquired by Return Path a dozen years ago and also serving on the leadership teams at both DoubleClick and Merkle. I am thrilled to add him to the Datalogix executive team.”
Both the Connection Engine and Datalogix client bases will benefit from the combined solutions. In addition, every Connection Engine employee is immediately becoming a Datalogix employee.
“We work with both companies already and are looking forward to the additional value we will see from the integrated solutions,” said Jennifer Jones, Group Manager of Digital Marketing at Sports Authority.
Datalogix has tripled in size in the past three years and was recently awarded the third-largest job creation grant in Colorado history. Additionally, Datalogix recently opened new offices in San Francisco and Detroit, in support of its close and growing partnerships with the technology and automotive industries.
