Veteran revenue leader brings decades of agency and ad tech sales experience to innovative content marketing startup
AUSTIN, Texas – OneSpot, the content advertising company that marries content marketing with the power, data intelligence, and infrastructure of online advertising, has named as Vice President of Sales Steve Moynihan, former sales executive at RichRelevance and JiWire and senior leader with numerous media and creative agencies.
“Today we’ve added a big asset to our team with the addition of Steve Moynihan,” said Steve Sachs, CEO of OneSpot. “Steve Moynihan’s unique leadership experience crafting media and technology solutions for global brands makes him perfectly suited to help marketers address their most critical content marketing challenges and opportunities.”
Moynihan has a rare combination of experiences, covering both leadership of national creative and media agencies as well as marketing technology sales. Steve spent the first eighteen years of his career in a variety of media planning and agency leadership capacities, including EVP Managing Director with MPG and SVP Group Media Director with Arnold Worldwide. Moynihan landed, led and grew major national and global accounts such as Volkswagen, Subaru, Fidelity, MasterCard, Titleist, Goodyear, Tyson Foods and many others.
Additionally, Moynihan spent the last several years focused on technology sales, first running JiWire’s national sales team focused on mobile and location-based advertising solutions and most recently running the central region for RichRelevance, delivering targeted advertising within online retail environments.
Moynihan has also previously served as a faculty member for the Association of National Advertiser’s School of Marketing, facilitating Media Planning seminars for ANA members.
“It’s an exciting time to join OneSpot with the content marketing space exploding and evolving in real time,” said Moynihan. “Brands are increasingly creating useful content, but struggling with distributing and targeting that content in a scalable way that drives a measurable business outcome.”
Moynihan continued, “It was an easy choice to join the OneSpot team and have the opportunity to combine my passions for media strategy and ad technology. I’m thrilled to be in such a unique position to shape how brands achieve success in their content marketing efforts.”
Moynihan earned a BS in Advertising from Southern Methodist University.
