Millennial Media Joins Forces With Sprint’s Pinsight Media+ to Drive App Discovery via Native Device Advertising

Pinsight Media+ Leverages the Millennial Media Platform to Engage Consumers with Proprietary Native Ad Units

BALTIMORE – Millennial Media (NYSE:MM), the independent leader in mobile advertising, announced a deal with Pinsight Media+™, in which Sprint’s media company will plug into the Millennial Media platform to display premium apps from Millennial Media’s advertiser base onto Sprint’s native device inventory. The apps will be featured as part of new native advertising units that will appear on all new Sprint Android devices, including the Samsung Galaxy S4, Moto X and HTC One.

The new ad units are available within two separate Sprint properties that will help consumers to discover and download new apps:

  • Discover It: As consumers swipe from their home screen to view new panels of apps, they will be presented with a custom widget that features a block of eight app icons. When tapped, the icons take the consumer directly to the Google Play store to download the app.
  • Lumen Toolbar: As consumers browse the mobile web, a persistent toolbar is displayed on the bottom of the screen, featuring five apps. When tapped, the icons link consumers to the corresponding app page in the Google Play store or to a brand-specified landing page.
