ad pepper media International N.V. Sells its Ad Server Subsidiary Emediate to Cxense

Nuremberg/Amsterdam – International online advertising marketer ad pepper media is selling its subsidiary, Emediate ApS, for roughly EUR 7.4 million1. Emediate was founded in 2001, acquired by ad pepper media in 2007, and has grown to become the clear market leader in the Scandinavian market.

Emediate is being purchased by Cxense AS, a global leader in big data analytics, personalized content, and targeted advertising. Cxense empowers publishers with extraordinary insight into their online audience. Furthermore, using advanced, real-time big data technology, Cxense enables publishers to act upon the insight in real-time through targeted advertising, content, and search solutions.

Emediate is the Nordic market leader, providing ad serving solutions and technolo-gies for efficient implementation, management, and analysis of online marketing campaigns. The combined offering from Emediate and Cxense provides a stronger, more advanced solution for publishers. Emediate’s extensive advertising products will be combined with advanced analytics, audience insight, personalized content and targeted advertising from Cxense to create one unified platform. Until now, only the likes of Google and Amazon have had the capability of using big data to provide customised online experiences. Cxense now provides that kind of insight and advantage to publishers worldwide.

“Cxense empowers businesses globally to use their data to interact with the right audience, in the right context, in the blink of an eye. Ad pepper media has devel-oped Emediate into an ad server market leader in the Nordics. “As part of our strategy, we decided to focus on our successful companies in the area of performance marketing and concentrate on developing them further. As a result, we began searching the market for an experienced partner for Emediate – a partner who could further develop the company in a sustainable manner and lead it into the future. Cxense turned out to be the ideal partner for us.
