Facebook Partners with Small Business Leaders Square, Intuit QuickBooks and LegalZoom to Host Five Events across the U.S. this Summer
MENLO PARK, Calif. – On the heels of National Small Business Week, Facebook announced Facebook Fit, a series of five boot camp-style events designed to help SMBs achieve business success. To maximize the benefits of Facebook Fit events to attendees, Facebook is teaming up with small business leaders Intuit QuickBooks, LegalZoom and Square, as well as best-selling author Rhonda Abrams and technology expert Mario Armstrong, both of whom are passionate about helping entrepreneurs and small businesses grow. The boot camps will be held in partnership with chamber of commerce organizations throughout the U.S. representing women and minority business owners. Local policymakers will also be on hand at select Facebook Fit boot camps.
“SMBs tell us that Facebook is increasingly the place for them to grow their businesses”
Facebook gives SMBs the opportunity to reach current and potential customers at unprecedented scale. In an average week, there are more than 645 million viewers and 13 million comments on local business Facebook Pages in the U.S., and 82 percent of SMBs find Facebook effective.
“SMBs tell us that Facebook is increasingly the place for them to grow their businesses,” said Dan Levy, Facebook’s director of small business. “But they also want to hear from SMB experts and leading companies on best practices in other key areas, such as payments, legal services and financial management. That’s why we’re creating Facebook Fit, so SMBs can achieve success in every aspect of their business. ”
The Facebook Fit tour will travel east-to-west across the United States, hitting five cities this summer:
- New York – June 3
- Miami – June 19
- Chicago – July 10
- Austin – July 24
- Menlo Park – August 5
The Facebook Fit events will include main-stage panels featuring local businesses and breakout sessions led by Facebook, Intuit QuickBooks, LegalZoom and Square.
Registration is now open. More details can be found at http://fb.me/fit. You can also follow the conversation on Twitter and Facebook with #facebookfit.
