Martin to help global brands develop and optimize content strategies in concert with award-winning content marketing platform
AUSTIN, TX – OneSpot, the content advertising company that combines content marketing with the scale and data intelligence of digital advertising, today announced the appointment of veteran digital content expert Sam Martin as Senior Content Strategist. In this role, Martin will work directly with global brands to maximize the power of their content marketing efforts in concert with OneSpot’s award-winning content marketing platform.
Martin brings more than 15 years of experience working with publishers and content marketing firms to OneSpot. Martin was previously the director of digital strategy for Texas Monthly magazine where he piloted a new digital business plan that included significant audience and online revenue growth for the venerable media brand. Previously, he was director of content strategy for Frog Design, where he led the firm’s global thought leadership, publishing, and media partnerships including those with TED and The Atlantic. He was also the founding editor-in-chief of the company’s Design Mind magazine.

Martin is also a former senior editor at Time Inc. and Sussex Publishers. He has spoken at a number of industry conferences including FOLIO MediaNext, Thinking Digital and TED Global. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in English from Baylor University and studied French language and literature at The University of Texas at Austin.
