New in-image ad network (IAN) guarantees incremental revenue and on-demand visual content, at no cost
New York – Kiosked announced that it has partnered with Scoopshot, a leading platform for video and photo crowdsourcing, to provide online publishers with content for free, when an ad is embedded, and a share in the revenue generated by the ad. It is the first platform to provide mobile photographers with the ability to earn advertising revenue from in-image ads.
Powered by Kiosked, Scoopshot’s in-image advertising network (IAN) makes it easy for online publishers, typically news providers and blogs, to use content without image licensing concerns, while generating incremental revenue based on the number of impressions achieved. For Scoopshooters the money they make from the ad embedded in their image is also calculated by the number of impressions, which will vary depending on the website on which it is published.
Nick Evans-Lombe, Chairman, Scoopshot commented: “Scoopshot’s in-image advertising platform, IAN, is going to have a massive impact on the online publishing industry. Content is now free and revenue positive. In addition, where image licensing has been a major concern for publishers, Scoopshot takes care of image rights transfers making the use and ownership of images black and white. IAN’s disruptive nature will change how the media values and acquires content, it’s an industry game changer.”
The global partnership was announced at SLUSH 2014, a world leading event for tech startups and companies in Helsinki, Finland, and will focus on the media markets in the US and Europe.
Petri Rahja, CEO and Founder of Scoopshot commented: “Our partnership with Kiosked gives us the ability to offer content to online publishers for free, while also providing them with an incremental revenue stream. It benefits our users by offering them another way to make money from their photos, in additional to selling licences to use and publish them.”
Micke Paqvalén, CEO and founder comments: “This is the next step for online advertising and crowdsourced content, and I am excited to see the possibilities that the partnership initiates. We have looked for a partnership like this for a long time, and are very pleased with the possibilities it enables.”
