GumGum’s high-performance advertising solutions allow Wenner Media to increase revenue by placing contextually-relevant promotional content over premium images. As images have such a high engagement rate online today, this partnership ensures that Wenner Media can unlock previously untapped revenue streams while preserving the experience readers expect.

“At Wenner Media, image content is very important to our readers and to our brands. We knew that monetizing imagery was an opportunity for us, and we sought a partner that could generate an impact on our revenue without compromising our readers’ experience,” said Laila Rodriguez, Ad Operations Director at Wenner Media. “We recently began using GumGum’s new In-Content Video units and are pleased with the results thus far.”

This partnership demonstrates Wenner Media’s commitment to providing innovative and valuable experiences to both its advertisers and its readers. GumGum’s technology is proprietary, which empowers publishers to monetize new revenue streams in the most effective way possible.

“Wenner Media is an industry-leader in high quality content, and we’re excited to be able to help them utilize that content in a way that grows revenue and protects the user experience,” said Shay Brog, VP of Publisher Development at GumGum. “Publications like Rolling Stonehave long been known for their landmark, engaging imagery; it’s an amazing opportunity for us to be trusted by Wenner Media to help monetize the content it creates so it can continue to produce such a premium experience.”

With today’s announcement, GumGum continues to build on its strong momentum with a newly opened office in Sydney, partnerships with more than 2,000 publishers and relationships with half of AdAge’s top 100 brands. The company has a global reach of 600 million uniques and raised $26M in financing from Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital in 2015.
