Prompt’s social media listening team launches Techmole, a technology trends tracking service for B2B technology vendors
BOSTON – Prompt Communications has launched a subscription–based technology trends service to provide technology vendors insight into key trends and user–generated conversations. The service has been launched by Prompt Social, Prompt Communications’ social media monitoring and measurement division.
The service, called Techmole, covers a range of technology-related topics including big data, security, ERP, CRM, virtualization, SaaS, IoT, and cloud. Each month it provides subscribers at-a-glance statistics on agreed key topics and technology trends. Vendors can also add further statistics and analysis including their own company’s share of voice, impact and reach in certain topic areas to other vendors and competitors.
Hazel Butters, CEO of Prompt Communications said: “There are an overwhelming number of tools and technologies to monitor social media presence and impact. Social media is important but can end up being a space-time vortex for many businesses, and simply overwhelm busy marketing managers. Across Prompt we specialize in working with large enterprise technology companies and as we have developed reports to help our PR and Social clients understand their market, impact and reach in certain technology areas, branching out to offer this as a simple, no-nonsense, get-it-every-month service, has been a lateral decision. We’ve been working with one of our largest clients on this type of analysis for several months and it’s been great to see the development of different technology trends, the changing impact of the vendor’s own social media work. We provide simple, informative and constructive reports that give relevant details to a busy marketing team and the management team they report to.”
Prompt Social recently launched Channel Social Influence, a service which uses an algorithm-based analysis to help vendors determine the social influence of individual partners on business-relevant social media channels including LinkedIn, Twitter, Xing, blogs, and Facebook.
