Havas Worldwide Chicago Adds Creative Firepower with the Appointment of Drew Donatelle as Executive Creative Director

CHICAGO – Havas Worldwide Chicago announced that Drew Donatelle has been named Executive Creative Director. As a senior creative leader within the agency, he will be responsible for fueling the agency’s mission to reinvigorate great American brands with cultural relevance. Donatelle is an integrated expert in traditional advertising, digital, social, experiential, and branded environments, with a proven track record of creating award-winning work that blends marketing strategy with creative storytelling. He joins Havas Worldwide from Twitter, where he served as Senior Brand Strategist on the Auto, Dining and Retail verticals.

Prior to joining Havas, Donatelle was VP, Creative Director at DraftFCB, working on integrated campaigns for Jack Daniel’s, Motorola and Nokia, in addition to driving new business efforts. He was also a key member of Draft’s Concepting Group, a thought laboratory where he honed his approach to idea-centric creative expressed at the right consumer touch points. Before that, he held the position of SVP, Creative Director at Upshot, a boutique agency focused on Millennials, where he led creative on marquee brands including Absolut, Microsoft, Mirage Resorts and Sony.

Donatelle’s noteworthy campaigns include an award-winning Valspar art poster series that earned recognition at the One Show, Communication Arts and D&AD the creation of whimsical animated characters for Valspar (Effie winner) and Sharpie; and a humorous integrated campaign for A1 starring 70s rock icon, Meat Loaf.

He also serves as Creative Director for a new American luxury brand, Fischer Voyage, which made its global retail debut at Harrods. Donatelle stewarded the development of the name, visual identity and communication efforts for the luxe brand.
