Tremor Video Expands to Malaysia

Independent Global Player Continues to Streamline Programmatic Workflow for Buyers and Sellers

NEW YORK – Tremor Video, Inc. (NYSE:TRMR), a provider of software for video ad effectiveness, announced its expansion into Malaysia. This follows its expansion into the Asia-Pacific region last year with the acquisition of Australian-based TVN and recent expansion into New Zealand.

“Malaysian buyers and sellers are requiring more programmatic solutions for their businesses. There’s so much confusion in the market, and I look forward to helping them fit the pieces together to move into the future of advertising and monetization.”

“We are proud to bring Tremor Video’s platforms to the developing Malaysian video market,” said Greg Smith, Senior Vice President, Programmatic Business Development. “We’ve seen great success in the Asia-Pacific region to-date and look forward to seeing continued growth.”

Malaysians are consuming video across all devices, in conjunction with their traditional television viewing. A recent Vuclip report found that OTT video was the preferred source of content because of the TV-like, high-quality viewing environment, which is also preferred by many brands for the same reason. The report also predicts that as 3G and 4G cellular service become more prevalent, the average user’s smartphone data is expected to grow from 1.2GB in 2015 to approximately 9GB by 2021, largely driven by the consumption of mobile video.

Amira Sa’abana has joined as Demand Director to foster the adoption of Tremor Video’s platforms. Most recently, she launched the digital monetization initiatives for Astro Awani and built a team to support the growing need of digital sales for the newsroom. She was also responsible for developing a real-time marketing strategy to increase brand awareness during breaking news periods. Amira holds a Bachelor of Science in Business & Economics from Lehigh University.

“I’m excited to join Tremor Video at such an exciting time in the video industry,” said Sa’abana. “Malaysian buyers and sellers are requiring more programmatic solutions for their businesses. There’s so much confusion in the market, and I look forward to helping them fit the pieces together to move into the future of advertising and monetization.”
