Mobile Advertising Leader Kargo Attains Medialets’ Certified Partner Status

Verified measurement and mobile innovators join to certify measurement of premium ads

NEW YORK – Kargo, the leader in mobile brand advertising, announced it attained certified status from Medialets, the WPP owned mobile measurement company and the first buy-side mobile ad server to receive MRC accreditation. Recently, Medialets adopted the rigorous new methodology for counting mobile ads outlined by the MRC and Kargo has been certified under this new methodology. Together, Kargo and Medialets will bring best-in-class measurement and analytics to Kargo’s invitation-only alliance of 300 world-class publishers, including CBS Interactive, Daily Mail, Hearst, Scripps, Vice and Vox, among others.

“Mobile advertising has major measurement challenges, and building trust is the key difference between success and failure”

As the premiere Media Ratings Council (MRC)-accredited mobile ad server, Medialets certifies its publisher partners to ensure that mobile ads render and count correctly. This certification process gives advertisers verified assurance that their mobile ad spend was counted correctly and was placed in front of targeted consumers. By joining the small number of partners who have achieved certification by Medialets, Kargo adds a layer of third-party validation to its media and breakthrough creative offerings.

“One of the biggest hurdles to mobile adoption is confidence. Kargo has pushed the industry in terms of transparency and driving confidence that media is delivered as promised. We are excited to certify that Kargo delivers and renders ads accurately,” said Medialets CEO Richy Glassberg. “We believe that premium, measurable publisher partners are essential to the continued expansion of quality in the mobile ad ecosystem.”

Mobile technology varies across sites and devices, making it difficult to certify that quality impressions are being delivered accurately from tech partner to tech partner. As Ben Phillips, Global Head of Mobile at Mediacom, commented, “Brand advertisers want impactful, relevant placements on mobile. We’ve worked with Kargo on numerous campaigns in North America and their commitment to quality and consistency stands out. This certification with Medialets, the leader in credible mobile measurement, gives us confidence that our clients’ dollars are being spent wisely and that the bar for quality is set very high.”

“Mobile advertising has major measurement challenges, and building trust is the key difference between success and failure,” said Harry Kargman, founder & CEO of Kargo. “Medialets is one of the few companies that can verify that media is counted properly. Our partnership and achieving certification should prove to our brand partners and their agencies that Kargo is one of the few places that is safe, transparent and reliable. We are ready to drive results verified by Medialets.”
