– FirstImpression.io announces compliance with Better Ads standards
– Company policy is to recommend ad formats that users find acceptable
Tel Aviv – FirstImpression.io, a technology company that dynamically creates and monetizes custom ad products for publisher websites without any hard coding, announces its compliance with the advertising standards set by the Coalition for Better Ads.
On June 1, 2017, Google announced that in early 2018 Chrome will “stop showing ads on websites that are not compliant with the Better Ads Standards”. The Coalition for Better Ads, of which Google is a founding member, defines 4 desktop and 8 mobile ad formats as annoying. This is based on a survey of 25,000 Internet users in North America and Europe.
CEO of FirstImpression.io, Roy Peleg, states, “This policy will have a significant impact because Google is responsible for the majority of the ad revenue that many publishers earn. Publishers now have a strong incentive to comply.
“At FirstImpression.io, we have long recommended non-intrusive ad formats to our publishers and have always placed a lot of emphasis on user experience. We want to take this opportunity to publicly endorse this move towards better advertising standards. We encourage other ad technology providers to do the same.”
FirstImpression.io has the technological capability to create any type of display, video, and native ad format without any technical work on the publisher’s side. However, the company’s policy since its founding in 2013 has been to recommend only non-intrusive ad formats.
Of the 12 formats deemed annoying by Better Ads, FirstImpression.io has never created 9. The other 3 were created only in response to specific publisher requests.
CEO Roy Peleg says, “We help premium publishers find that perfect balance between ad revenue and user experience. That’s the not-so-secret secret to return users and long-term revenue growth!”
FirstImpression.io creates and monetizes new, highly customized ad products for publisher websites with our platform – there’s no technical work in sight!
We complement a publisher’s existing ad setup with ad products that we tailor to each user, device, and page layout. This helps publishers earn additional ad revenue while preserving their user experience. There’s no coding, no ad tags, no design, and no QA.
