Via riders will be able to access curated premium content through a seamless in-app integration with Taboola News
NEW YORK — Taboola, the leading discovery platform, and Via, the world’s expert in on-demand shared transportation, announced a strategic partnership to deliver Taboola News, a personalized platform for news content, directly to consumers through Via’s app.
@Taboola and @ridewithvia announce strategic partnership to bring news from premium publishers to riders
The Taboola News platform will integrate within the Via app and surface curated news and content from both its network of premium publishers as well as Via straight to riders, allowing them to seamlessly access hyper-relevant entertainment while in transit.
“At Via, we care deeply about providing a superior customer experience at every stage of the journey,” said Daniel Ramot, co-founder and CEO of Via. “We’re delighted to partner with Taboola to offer riders a way to discover new and exciting content while they travel.”
“I’m so excited to work with the entire Via executive team to bring even more value to Via’s loyal users by surfacing news that’s relevant in a personalized way. I’ve long believed that today’s generation does not want to spend time looking for things, and the ability to discover things that are relevant to you is now an innate part of every user experience. There is value to bringing that ‘moment of next,’ when users are ready and open to discover something new,” said Adam Singolda, founder and CEO, Taboola. “We are looking forward to our partnership with Via, where for the first time, we can serve riders with things they may like but never knew existed as they travel from one place to another.”
The roll out will begin in New York City later this year before rolling out to other markets. The partnership comes on the heels of Taboola’s expansion of its business with Carriers/OEMs, offering an “Apple News” product for users. Taboola acts as a search engine in reverse, so that instead of users having to go to search for information – information will be surfaced to users in a personalized way, helping them discover what’s new and interesting.
