Co-founder of Plastic Mobile and current chief operating officer of Havas Canada will harness the power of the agency’s evolved capabilities to develop meaningful creative, digital and mobile experiences
TORONTO — With Havas’ acquisition of Plastic Mobile in 2014 and the growth of Rally + Havas, the group’s digital and mobile experience capabilities have developed into one of the top-tier consultancies in not only Canada but North America. As a result of this strategic shift, Melody Adhami, Co-founder of Plastic Mobile and current Chief Operating Officer of Havas Canada, will take over as Chief Executive Officer of Havas Canada. Adhami will oversee the Creative business in Canada, reporting to North America Chairman and CEO Paul Marobella. Alex Chepovetsky, Founder of Rally and President and Chief Digital Officer of Havas Canada, will manage the Creative and Digital Experience practices of Havas Canada.
“Havas Canada’s capabilities have evolved over the last five years to help position the agency as one of the best digital-first creative experience consultancies in North America. Thus, it’s only natural that we lean harder into this valuable skillset that matters most to the modern CMO and their brands,” said Marobella. “Melody has demonstrated excellent leadership in growing the Plastic Mobile organization to incredible heights, and we could not be happier to have her in this new leadership role in North America. With Melody and Alex at the helm, we are excited to see Havas Canada continue this impressive growth trajectory.”
With modern marketers and brands laser-focused on building digital and creative experiences that create more meaningful connections with their buyers and new value for their brands, Havas Creative North America is reorganizing to leverage and grow its modern capabilities. Havas Canada will continue building an unrivaled, digital-first creative experience consultancy. The agency will work closely with Canada’s top brands in developing meaningful creative, digital and mobile experiences that create new value for their organizations. Creativity will remain at the core of the offering along with a digital-first focus.
“Being a member of the Havas Canada Village has shown me many things—first and foremost, this agency can do anything. Working with top-tier Canadian brands to transform their businesses, we have spent the last five years building an industry-leading digital practice, refining our creativity, experience design and technology, while creating a home to the industry’s best talent,” said Adhami. “We will continue investing in our core areas of focus: creative, UX, web, mobile, in-store, artificial intelligence, data and security. This is an incredibly exciting time at Havas Canada, and I am thrilled to use our expertise to solidify our position as Canada’s leading creative experience consultancy.”
Tom Olesinski, the current Chief Executive Officer of Havas Canada, will step down from his role and leave the organization after a short transition period.
